Mental Health Awareness Week
Here at Eliga we believe is not only important to be kind to our minds during mental awareness health week, but every day.
The stresses of everyday work life can take its toll on focus, mood, self-compassion and can lead to anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses.
With that in mind, Eliga has decided to introduce Headspace, a “personal guide to mindfulness” to all of its employees in the fight for mental health wellness.
Headspace provides all kinds of articles and meditation guides to help you through a journey to a better mindset. They believe that meditation is a form of exercise for the brain and say “studies have shown that mindfulness meditation can positively impact mental and physical health. Whether it’s by reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing focus or improving relationships. Research shows mindfulness works”.
We have also assigned a ‘mental health champion’ within Eliga. Having this ‘champion’ available to our employees will contribute towards:
- Making it easier for people to talk openly about mental health and their feelings in the workplace
- Help to make our organisation a brilliant place to work for people that may be suffering from mental health conditions
